Here is a daily schedule for incorporating Bible reading:
(This is only an example, but it may encourage you to see the simplicity of what it takes)
7:00 AM - Wake up and pray, asking God for guidance in your reading later.
7:30 AM - Breakfast. Resist distractions like phone at the table. Maybe look at a passage while you eat.
8:00 AM - Drive to work while listening to an audio Bible version.
12:00 PM - Take lunch outside or in your car for 30 minutes of undistracted reading time. Follow a Bible reading plan.
12:30 PM - Return to work focused on applying anything that stood out. Maybe share with a friend or colleague.
5:00 PM - End of workday. Drive home listening to Bible again. I promise it is better than radio!
6:00 PM - Dinner with family. Discuss highlights and questions from reading.
7:00 PM - Quality family time or other commitments without phone/screens.
8:30 PM - Wind down with beverage /journaling to capture insights, areas for prayer. Or write to help others.
9:00 PM - Prayer before bed, focusing on interactions with God today. Thank Him for insights from reading. Ask for understanding of upcoming passages.
Repeat schedule daily, slowly increasing reading time as comfortable. On weekends, utilize mornings or an evening for extended reading, study with a friend/pastor, or try a Bible study group. Staying consistent with the basic structure prevents bible reading from falling off your list of priorities throughout your busy week.
